| The House and Grounds
Much care has been taken to keep the headland looking as natural as possible and, in keeping with the unspoilt surroundings, the garages and outbuildings have been built into the ground and are invisible from most angles.
Built on the end of Rinsey Head, sheer cliffs in front of the house plunge 120ft into the sea. Nearby is a small inlet known locally as Basher's Harbour (to which there is no public right of way). Here the remains of old ironwork set into the granite can be seen running all the way from the clifftop down to the low tide mark.
Designed originally to give each room a panoramic view, the house is an unusual and irregular shape. Inside, the lowset windows each frame their own unique seaview.
